Thandie Newton Speaks Out About Sexual Abuse.
In many cases, people tend to ignore that sexual violence, emotional and sexual abuse can take place in a ?professional? environment. I believe that Thandie?s story requires us to pay attention not only at home but at work.
I have a difficult time watching the part in Crash (the movie) where she is molested by the police officer. I have seen this scene from the movie on the internet with comments under it from people who do not recognize it as molestation and refer to it in degrading ways that promotes sexual violence, and a consensual intercourse. Why do these people who leave comments, think that she is happy to be violated? And, why do they not care?
The bigger question for me is, if they don?t recognize ? or do not want to acknowledge the molestation that took place during that scene in the movie, what are they doing at home?
